About This Project

“120 Minutes: Stories of Solitude,” another innovative project by the Nomad Art Group, is a poignant performance that delves into the intricate narratives of love, loss, and resilience from a feminist perspective. The play, which took two months to produce, features four women from different corners of the world, each sharing their unique love story. These narratives, written by Bahareh Rahnama, are more than just tales of romance; they are powerful accounts of the struggles and triumphs faced by women in different cultural and social contexts. The stories converge on a singular, compelling theme: despite varied experiences, these women share a common journey of navigating a world often marked by cruelty and injustice.

Ehsan Aliverdi, the writer and director of the play, crafts a narrative that not only resonates with feminist ideals but also touches on the universal feelings of solitude and longing that transcend geographical boundaries. The cast, comprising Giselle Aali, Atefeh Saniee, Ida Moradi, Thelma Ghayyem, and Ehsan Aliverdi himself, brings these stories to life with their heartfelt performances. Each actress portrays her character’s journey with authenticity and emotional depth, highlighting the societal pressures and challenges faced by women. The play is an ode to the strength and resilience of women, underscoring the often overlooked struggles they endure in the face of societal and male-imposed constraints.

The production’s success is also attributed to the dedicated crew, including Sahar Mokhtari, Salar Hosseini, Farid Masjedi, Maedeh Timajchi, Hamed Janali, Arman Azadi, and Sara Alizadeh. Their collective efforts in set design, lighting, and other technical aspects created a captivating ambiance that perfectly complemented the narrative. The music, composed by Cozy Studio’s Shervin Mirzeinali and Ehsan Kachooei, added an additional layer of emotional resonance, enhancing the storytelling with its evocative soundscapes.
